Projects
This is an ongoing self-directed project resulting of a combination of knowledge gained in several classes listed above, including Reference, Subject Analysis, and Database Management. This is designed using PHP/MySQL, XHTML and Javascript.
This Wiki-based tutorial was created as a project for Technology for Information Professionals.
This is the site that is being used currently for projects within XML. It includes material that was created as a result of LIS469, as well as some side projects.
Massachusetts Center for the Book Database Project
This project involved the creation of a relational MySQL database to enable future development of a literary map of Massachusetts.
It includes approximately 20 tables and links historic sites with authors, businesses, bookstores, schools, and will be accessible by region, counties, towns, and neighborhoods. A content management system was designed and implemented using PHP to enable a form-based method of managing sites, people and relationships. This exists behind a password-protected directory, so is unfortunately unavailable for viewing.
For LIS 415, I created these three screencasts to demonstrate how to use the University of Massachusetts OPAC.
This site was created as a final project for the Literature of Science and Technology Class.
